Developed by Talon Technology in Sydney Australia, the all composite Carbon Hinge is a true innovation in hinge design.
Using materials more often found in stealth aircraft and bulletproof jackets, the Carbon Hinge is extremely thin, light, and durable.
APPLICATIONS
The Carbon Hinge is perfect for a variety of applications due to it's exceptional corrosion resistance, ability to bond to surfaces, and light weight construction.
Hinges can be used in marine and boat construction, consumer electronics, integrated into carbon fibre shells, and countless other applications.
TECHNICAL DETAILS
Hinges can be made in almost any variety of materials and thickness. Flex units can be doubled or even tripled if additional strength is required.
All our hinges have been tested to over 1,000,000 cycles at 340 cycles per minute through an 80 degree arc, and can withstand a 150kg static load in a 50mm long, 25mm wide configuration.

Hybrid: Objects for Future Homes
We are proud to announce that our Carbon Hinge is currently being featured in an exhibition at the Sydney Powerhouse Museum in Ultimo. The exhibition is interrogating the contemporary urban condition and is exploring what homes might begin to look like in 2030. We are excited to say that Andrew Simpson from Vert Design is one of the designers that is involved in the exhibition and he has used one of our carbon hinges in the exhibition piece he has submitted.

CAMX Awards Rescheduled
Due to the inclement weather, CAMX was rescheduled to December. The Carbon Hinge has been nominated for the CAMX Unsurpassed Innovation Award, and the award ceremony was held on the 12th of December.
This was a great achievement for our product and we are very proud to have had the opportunity.

JEC Asia Innovation Award - Marine
The Carbon Hinge has won the JEC Asia Innovation Award for the Marine category. JEC Asia is an international composites conference dedicated to the Asia-Pacific region. Other winners include Airbus, Daimler AG, Arkema, and Chomarat.
